Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 14, 2026
At Learnfy, we believe childhood should sparkle with curiosity, confidence, and joy — and protecting children's privacy is at the heart of that mission.
This Privacy Policy explains how Learnfy ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you or your child use our website, app, adaptive learning platform, quests, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Learnfy is designed primarily for children (typically ages 5–12), with parental/guardian involvement. We take children's privacy very seriously and comply with applicable laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union/EEA.
1. Information We Collect
A. Information from Children
We minimize collection of personal information from children. We do not require children to provide names, email addresses, or other direct personal identifiers to play most quests or engage with core learning content.
- Learning progress & usage data: Which quests are completed, answers given, time spent, hints used, current level — used only to adapt difficulty and personalize the learning path.
- AI adaptation signals: General indicators of engagement, confidence, or mood (inferred from interaction patterns — never voice or camera unless explicitly enabled with consent).
- Optional in-product content: Drawings, short text inputs, or choices made during story-driven quests (stored anonymously or under a child-specific pseudonym).
B. Information from Parents / Guardians
To create an account, link to a child profile, receive progress reports, or manage settings, parents provide:
- Name and email address
- Child's approximate age or grade level
- Optional: Child's first name or nickname (for personalization)
- Payment information (handled securely by our payment processor — we do not store full card details)
C. Automatically Collected Information
- Device type, browser, IP address (anonymized), approximate location (country/region only)
- Cookies and similar technologies (for session management, analytics, and essential functionality)
2. How We Use Information
- Provide, personalize, and adapt learning quests in real time
- Track progress and celebrate achievements
- Send parental notifications, progress summaries, and tips (only to parent email)
- Improve the Service (aggregated/anonymized analytics only)
- Prevent fraud, enforce safety rules, and debug technical issues
- We never use children's personal data to train general AI models outside of improving Learnfy's own adaptive engine (and only in anonymized form).
3. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell children's personal information. We share data only:
- With service providers (hosting, analytics, payment processors) under strict contracts
- To comply with law, protect safety, or defend our rights
- In the event of merger/acquisition (with notice where required)
No targeted advertising based on children's learning data occurs on Learnfy.
4. Parental Rights & Choices (COPPA & GDPR)
Parents/guardians can:
- Review personal information collected about their child
- Request deletion of their child's data
- Refuse further collection/use (which may limit personalization)
- Withdraw consent (where consent is the basis)
To exercise these rights, contact us at info@learnfy.site.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit & at rest, access controls, regular audits) to protect data. However, no system is 100% secure.
6. International Data Transfers
Learnfy operates globally. Data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the EEA (including the US). We use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect transfers.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified via email to parents and/or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
